That is not a shop-local slogan. It is a practical idea: use the people, businesses, knowledge and organisations Crawley already has, and bring in outside help only where it is genuinely needed.

The working implementation in this town. It connects businesses, residents, community, jobs, skills, knowledge, needs, opportunities, area stakeholders and local institutions.
Crawley Business Association
The business-facing organisation inside the ecosystem. It is how Crawley's businesses are connected into the wider model. It is not the whole model.

The Prosperity App
The digital heart of the ecosystem. Not a business directory with extras. The directory is one function inside a larger connection layer.
It is built to connect, over time: local businesses, residents, jobs, skills and capabilities, what businesses need, what people need, what people can offer, Knowledge Sharing, volunteering, community activity, local opportunities, business support, training and reskilling, and information for area stakeholders.
Live now: the App is in use in Crawley. Businesses are listed. People can join, claim a listing, and take part in events and community features.
In development: the fuller need-to-outcome journeys, workforce intelligence, and some skills and Knowledge Sharing tools. We will not advertise an unbuilt feature as if it is already there.
Crawley Business Association
The business-facing part of the ecosystem.
It helps businesses become visible locally, find customers and suppliers, access support, recruit, name the skills they need, find knowledge, use events, collaborate, take part in the wider community, and use technology and AI where that is useful.
Business owners are also residents. We do not split business and community as if they were different towns.
Joining CBA connects a business to the wider Crawley Prosperity Ecosystem, not only to a membership list.
Community Prosperity Engagement Team
The community-facing delivery capability.
It connects with residents and with organisations that already do good work. It does not exist to duplicate them.
That includes volunteering, practical help (gardening, shopping, lifts, litter picking, painting), answering local needs, Knowledge Sharing, and recognising people who contribute.
If a community organisation already provides a service, the ecosystem should help people find that organisation, not replace it.
Area Stakeholders
Council, education, police, NHS and health, employment and skills bodies, major employers, infrastructure organisations, community organisations, business organisations, financial institutions, charities and voluntary groups sit across the ecosystem. They do not belong only to business or only to community.
They may need insight into local needs, ways to communicate, employment and skills information, and routes to deliver programmes locally, without taking unrestricted personal data.
We do not claim formal partnerships, sponsorships or programmes that have not been confirmed. These organisations are area stakeholders in Crawley's prosperity. That is the honest word.
The Prosperity Hub (much later)
The Hub is the possible physical expression of the same ecosystem the App already represents digitally.
The question at the door would be: What do you need? Or: How can we help you be more prosperous today?
A person should not have to guess which organisation to ask.
The Hub is not open. Crawley does not need a building to start. A physical Hub comes much later, only if demand, activity and outcomes justify it.
Jobs, skills, AI and Knowledge Sharing
Work is changing. AI will change some of the tasks people do and some of the skills businesses need.
The ecosystem is there to help Crawley adapt in a practical way: what people can do, what businesses need, where the gaps are, what people could learn, and where opportunities are emerging.
Everybody knows something somebody else does not. That is Knowledge Sharing: mentoring, practical skill, business knowledge, digital skills, career experience, local knowledge, professional expertise, life experience. People can give it as well as receive it.
Process Guru Academy is the skills-development engine for this work. It is training and evidence, not an unverified government qualification.
We will not scare people with lists of jobs that will disappear. We will help people and businesses prepare.
Two honest numbers
Crawley has 8,528 businesses on The Prosperity App, from the live company record of the town.
Council ratepayer data is about 3,500. That is a different count. It is the businesses on the rates list, not the full company record.
The wider Gatwick Diamond is a larger economic area, with around 45,000 businesses. That is not the number of businesses in Crawley.
What would prosperity look like for you?
For one person it might mean work, a new skill, help, company, sharing knowledge, volunteering, starting a business, or finding someone trustworthy to do a job.
For a business it might mean customers, staff, suppliers, productivity, using AI well, expertise, premises, or being found locally.
For an area stakeholder it might mean reaching residents and businesses, understanding needs, supporting employment, and seeing whether local work actually changes anything.
Everybody has needs. Everybody has something to offer.
The Crawley Prosperity Ecosystem exists to connect the two.
